Didn't make a bit of difference, exact same poor blade design as the larger bowl that comes with the coffee grinder. Sharp edges on the bowls, hard to get a good grip to unlock them. Spent 4-5 minutes trying to powder some cloves for a recipe, still had a bunch of chunks.
This works great, and I have been wanting one for a long time.

This works great, and I have been wanting one for a long time. I researched several brands, and the reviews of this one made my choice easy. I agree with the positive reviews posted and use it quite often for spices. It workd great for coffee too.

Smaller grinder for the KitchenAid BCG111OB (coffee grinder). Really well thought out.
I like having the smaller cups for items besides coffee

It works. I like having the smaller cups for items besides coffee. The first thing I ground up was fenugreek, and the odor really lingered in the cup after many washings. It did disappear after I ground up pepper in the same cup. The ground pepper from this mill is amazing. I have hand mills for pepper, but the pepper ground up in the cup is way more flavorful. This is a very handy addition to the original coffee grinder, which I bought elsewhere, but would also highly recommend.
