Boring white geodes, fun for kids

They're kind of all the same boring clear/whitish crystals. Some were almost impossible to crack. Clearly, all these geode sellers know what they're giving you. My kid always loves geodes and has great hope for something amazing no matter how many he's cracked. But after a few years of getting him geodes, I've learned to not hold my breath. Fun for kids though.
Difficult to break Geodes, but worth it once you figure out how.

Took us a while to crack open. I got this for my 7 year old son, he really enjoyed this activity. Chiseling away at them would have taken us a year, so we found a bigger rock and dropped it over the geodes to bust them open. Worked awesomely, my son had fun being "destructive" in a safe environment. I recommend to wear eye protection any way you decide to tackle the task of cracking open a geode.
Fun family activity. Worth it. He loved breaking them apart and he still enjoys them now.

This was fun to do although some were very hard to break! I had to get the hammer out and really pound on a couple of them but when all said and done, beautiful!

My kids loved this. However, I do have to say, my vacuum got a work out in after cleaning all the dust and debris this left behind. All in all, they all cracked open with excellent crystals.

I just purchased this for my son for his 6th birthday and he loves them! Of all the things he got at his birthday party, he wanted to "play" with this first. The kit comes with everything you need and he felt like a real scientist! They are certainly the real deal and take some effort to get open...but that's part of the fun! I was surprised at how big a few of them were and they really are beautiful. If you're looking for a fun but educational product that will keep your kids busy, this is a good choice.
