Tec Algaecide made me a believer. It really works. I ordered the product after we had rain storms that turned the fountain's water green. By following the directions on the bottle I was able to rid the fountain of green water (and algae growth) and keep it clear all summer. The birds seem to enjoy my clean fountain and often stopped for a drink or a bath. It's a great product that lessened my summer chores since I didn't have to drain and clean my fountain continuously. Only wish I had found it a few summer ago.

I believe this is a good product, but didn't keep the algae from coming back in our fountain. Not sure if it's just a bad year for algae or we needed something stronger, but our fountain just kept having trouble with green algae growth on the bottom even with following the guidelines on the bottle. Decided to empty fountain, scrub with bleach and then refill and now trying a different algaecide. This likely is a good product and one to try.

It actually works! My fountain had a lot of algae. I was going to clean it before I used this product but decided to try the product first. I put in the amount that was on the instructions and 2 days later it was better. Waited a full week and then redid the same amount and ther is some debris but not living green algae.

I tried this product while visiting in a seaside town in South Carolina. The front fountain was always looking terrible and a clogged pump did not help! So after a treatment with FounTec Algecide, the pump was clear in a day and the tank was clear in two!!! It did not take much to improve the condition and make it safe for birds and other wildlife. Now I am using it in the mountains of Colombia in a very humid area where mold and mildew are like sweaters on everything! I will let you know the results when I begin treatment and easily maintain the new fountain here as well!

This works great. I use it in a small bird bath and also a small water fountain, which I have on my back deck. The bird bath bottom used to get all slimy, but when using this product, it desk not. What I see in the bird bath is a small drop or two of that slim-looking stuff. This seems to attract the slime into a little ball or two leaving the bird bath itself clean. I only put one drop in the bird bath water since it is abut a 9-12" diameter bath. It is harder to tell how well it woks in my fountain, but I can see that the water flow is remaining the same after 2-3 weeks. It usually slowed down due to that slimy stuff getting clogged in the pump.
