Very durable tripod. Adjustable and very sturdy.

Bought this to replace some hoopty that fell apart which I bought at a big box store where white trash and hoodrats tend to shop most. This thing is rad, its durable, adjusts easily, and restores your confidence. Since I bought this, I've lost 10% of my overall body fat, gained 10lbs of muscle, and the babes wont leave me alone. Highly recommend this camera tripod.
Cheap quality--cheap price

Everything about this tripod is cheap, but I paid only $8. It is cheap construction from cheap materials. But, it works. I use it with my Sony A99II and a 50mm lens. The camera stayed in place, but the slightest nudge would knock it over. I used it as a table-top tripod with the leg tubes closed. I would not trust it with the legs extended. It has a standard plate screw and it has 3-way tilt. This tripod would be best with a pocket-sized point-and-shoot camera. With a lightweight camera, this tripod could be used on location. It is ultra-lightweight, however, a moderate breeze would blow it over. The thin legs are stable, but the slightest bump would bend them out of shape. This item feels like a disposable, toy tripod, but at $8, that might be enough.
Handle with care, actually not a bad affordable choice

The price and capability are great, but handle with kid gloves. Comes with a protective pull string sleeve and this indeed does reach nearly 5 feet. If you've handled tripods of past, treat this like a well made toy version. But it does do the trick! No complaints. As we've been taught, brut force destroys. These many parts are no exception. It's super lightweight and portable. Serves the purpose.
You get what you pay (or dont) for.... in this case, you get even less

It barely holds itself up, let alone a camera
My bad for buying something so cheap and expecting it to work differently.
I wouldn't have rated it so poorly as one should expect performance in line with the price paid, and if it exceeds that then great.
However, the issue I have with this tripod is that they are actually selling it as a SLR/Camcorder tripod and call it a pro camera, which is blatant mis representation.
This is not a case of lower performance for a lower cost. It is a wrong product outright for what it claims to be hence the poor rating.

Looks great, but breaks after a couple of uses.

We use a tripod about 4 times a year. I loved the height and price of this one, but the tripod broke on the 2nd time we tried using it. The connector piece on top, where you connect your camera to the tripod broke. The plastic piece on it just snapped off and it cannot be used anymore.
