Needed to open up some 7/8" holes that were drilled in a 1" thick steel plate. This worked much better than a conventional drill bit would have, especially since I had to drill the holes out with a hand held 1/2" drill motor. A task that would have been nearly impossible with a conventional 1-1/16" drill bit by hand turned out be easy with this style drill/reamer bit.
