Very nice model of the Zephyr series. I highly recommend the light kit for inside the cars! The UNITRACK is very precise, no derailments, smooth operation!

Really nice looking train. Comes with everything you need to get started. Felt it was a bit overpriced, but I'm happy with it.

I was very surprised at the precision and overall quality of this beginner's train set. I bought it for my 16-yo son, and we were both mesmerized watching it run. It's incredibly smooth operating, and the track system is very high quality. It snaps together and separates easily.
If I were going to build a large N-scale layout, I would strongly lead towards this track system. And the cost is very reasonable too!
From looking at the Kato website, I think that the engine can be upgraded to include DCC, and the passenger cars can be upgraded with lighting - though those options are quite a bit more expensive.
