Great Little Light!

This is one bright little light. We use it on our pool umbrellas to add a little light to the area and it is perfectly bright and easy to install.

I liked that the light has two settings and that it lit up just the table and not too much around but I can't get over the color of the light given off by the led's. Very cold. Wish I ordered a light gave off a warmer more inviting glow instead of this one. It's like someone is about to perform surgery under that light and not enjoy a glass of wine.
NOT A USEFUL AMOUT OF LIGHT

Purchased this in July for my patio umbrella and as advertised it does not come with batteries and that's ok. The LED's seem bright when looked at in a lighted room however, when placed around my umbrella in the evening, there was hardly any useful light reflected downward to a patio table, certainly not enough to enjoy a meal by which was my intent in buying it. Don't know how this got so many positive reviews - I think it is a piece of junk and a waste of money.
Almost returned it when it arrived.

Item came in a plain white box, no directions or papers whatsoever. Anyone know warranty info? Mfg?
You cannot remove the battery covers with your fingers or fingernails, there's no ridge to catch onto. I had to open them with a sharp pointed knife.
One compartment is empty, but I discovered later it is not used. Looking at the light, you will see a small white button. Pressing that turns on the 4 leds in the center, so you think the light is broke since the others don't light up and a battery is missing (which you discovered earlier) and there are NO instructions stating how the light works. I was ready to return it when I noticed a black slide switch on the side (which looks identical to the latch) . This switch controls the main lights.
Time will tell how well it will hold up. I used 3 Eneloop rechargeable batteries. I plan to turn on the light and keep it on to see how long they will last. I will add that information when done.

I think the manufacturer and supplier of this product could save themselves a lot of upset customers and returned product if they would include in the packaging information regarding the battery compartments and the number and type of battery to be inserted. Of course it's very apparent that only a AA will fit but there is one battery compartment without the connection insert. That threw me at first, thinking I would have to return it, but it WORKED. Obviously a fourth battery is not needed, but for crying out loud include that important tidbit in the packaging. It's very odd to receive an item with absolutely NO info or instructions. I just received mine so time will tell how long the batteries last. I think the inside ring "adapter" is pretty cool allowing it to adjust to fit an umbrella's pole as well as a tent's smaller width pole. Can't wait to see this lit up tonight.
