Installation directions need to be clearer

I like this product. I do, but installation is a little complicated. Unless you have some prior knowledge on vent and ductwork, you may have trouble with some of the connections. Also, the kit comes with pretty much all you need, if, you want to cut on your roof. I, however did not want to cut on my roof, so I had to order an extension, which of course, does not come with the kit. I believe an option should be given when you order the kit as to whether or not you want the extension. And then we get to pricing, Geeez, has sheet metal value increased by that much!!! Wow... I mean I know companies got to survive in this economy and I don't mind paying a "reasonable" price... but darn, the little people have to survive too.
Deffinatley worth it

Came a little dented but nothing too bad just very small dent and nothing that wouldnt make it work as advertised.i ran mine through a window though, cut a piece of plywood to put in the window and ran it through that way.i would suggest using a 36" triple wall class a pipe to run through the wall so that you can get the central piece far enough away from the house to prevent you from having to cut a hole in the eve.thats what i did and i still have excellent draft, no issues.i would also suggest not doing this project by yourself although really hard it can be done.i dont have anyone around to help me but if i had to do it over again i would have tried alot harder to find someone.you might want to buy alot of high temp red rtv silicone for this job as well
Don’t use the provided cap.

Overall the kit is legit; however, The chimney cap it comes with is poorly crafted and flimsy. The wind ripped the cap clean off the pipe and it hasn't even been a month. Properly installed, just no proper secure points. It essentially just "sits" on top of your pipe. I highly recommend the kit but avoid the cap! Get yourself a "Forever Cap" that inserts into the top section of pipe above the roof. Wind won't be an issue nor will improper draft or combustion. Once the original cap blew off I examined it and determined it wouldn't even hold up to a minor hail storm let alone high mountain winds.
Very nice

Very nice product, just a little confusing on how to install, not very good instructions with it and can get you confused really quickly. But seem to be a good product.
The stainless kit does not come with all stainless components

Fairly disappointed with this kit, not the quality, but the description is very misleading. Touted as the "stainless steel kit" over half the parts are galvanized steel and not stainless steel. The company doesn't even seem to offer one of these kits with complete stainless parts. It's left a bad taste in my mouth, as eventually the galvanized steel will start to rust.
Having said that, it is still a quality kit. I wish they would give the option of a 12" through the wall coupler. (needed for going through block walls) vs the kit coming with just an 8" coupler. But it is complete and everything you will need to get you through the wall.
You do need to be aware that the 6" is the inner diameter for the flue pipe, outside diameter is 14", so you'll have quite a large hole going through the wall. I can attest it's a very well constructed and pretty easy system to assemble and use.
I would look at this kit as a starter kit, as there is many other components that you will need to purchase to complete the chimney. But it covers getting you through the wall to the exterior of the house.
