Great collar, but no substitute for training

Pros:
Fits well.
Pretty/Love the color
Easy to adjust.
Quick release makes it easy to get on and off, especially if you have a skittish dog that doesn't like to put his/her head through a collar.

Cons:
Doesn't keep her from pulling, training is required.

OK, well folks, you can't rely on a collar to train your dog. Like all collars and harnesses, training is required. You can't just buy a new collar and expect to take your dog on a little stroll through the park. Training is a daily experience with your dog, and deepens your bond. Teach him/her how you want him/her to behave and you will have the perfect pet. It takes work, but it's rewarding. The collar won't do it for you. Remember, train with kindness.
Beware of the clasp!

This collar was fine up until 5 days ago. I was out with my 30 pound mixed breed dog on a 6' leash. She darted off at full speed and the clasp on the collar snapped (the two plastic teeth on it snapped off) leaving me standing there with a leash and a broken collar and my dog running off. Luckily we weren't near a road. The collar is 6 months old. I wrote an email to Cetacea 3 days ago describing what happened, and asked if the collar was under warranty. As of this time, I have not had a response from them.

***Update from March 29, 2016***
It has been over a week since I sent Cetacea an email, and I still have not received a response.
Made a good girl outta my big, insanely scary dog :)

This is a great collar! I have a 100-lb American Bulldog who is, on the inside, a very delicate lady. But she has issues. Namely, she doesn't play nice with other people or dogs she doesn't know. I used to walk her on a pinch collar as a result, but I hated it because she'd nearly choke herself to death if we encountered other life forms on the streets in our quiet neighborhood. This collar is enough to give her a jerk to get her moving when she's sniffed too long (don't judge - I give her plenty of sniff time), and enough to remind hold her back when someone crosses her path without leaving her literally gagging for breath (and life itself).
Great product!

I love these collars because they come with the quick release buckle. I had a hard time finding a sizing chart which was annoying so figured I would add one to my review to hopefully help the next person. If I was the company I would post this but oh well!
Great item--no need to fear your dog will back out of his collar.

These martingale dog collars with chains work very well, much better than regular collars which dogs sometimes back out of. The side release on these martingale collars is a big plus, too, because it means you can fit the collar to the neck more accurately meaning that you can leave the collar on the dog all the time.. Without the side release, the collars can slip off the dog's neck over the dog's head and get lost when he's running around the yard. The third advantage here is that the central loop is made of chain rather than cloth. My daughter's martingale collar had a cloth central loop, and it wore out very quickly.
