Makes vibrations worse
Dustin Kleisch•April 5, 2017
I'll start this off with the only good things I can say about this shock mount: It fits my microphone (albeit just barely), it looks nice, and it is built pretty well. However, looks are definitely not everything here. As far as functionality goes, this shock mount does the complete opposite of what it is supposed to do. I have less vibration problems with my microphone laying on top of my desk with my computer full of spinning fans 3 feet away from it than I do with it on a stand using this shock mount. It is ridiculous.
The included image shows what my microphone picked up during moments of complete silence. All were recorded with the microphone on a Neewer stand, the only difference between each recording is the shock mount.

Thought It Fit At2020 But Broke Seconds After I Opened It

I purchased this shock mount for my AT2020 knowing that it is compatible for that mic. Before I always make a purchase on amazon, I read reviews and make sure that the product always fits my needs. This is the first time in three years I bought something on amazon and it immediately broke on me. Like other reviewers said, "it's a very snug fit on the at2020" so I pushed the mic through the shock mount. After that it looked fine, screwed it onto my desk mount but 30 seconds after that I hear cracking from the shock mount. Weirded out, I look at it and SNAP, the things holding the at2020 in place snapped. I have included some photos so you could see for yourself. Please fix this...
Extra tight fit! Yikes!

I got this for my AT2020 microphone and I gotta say it is a pretty tight fit! I almost thought I would not be able to get the microphone inside but by expanding the grip as much as possible and pushing the microphone in hard and slowly it did finally go in. I don't plan to remove it anytime soon but it seems its going to be pretty difficult to slide it out. Regardless, it does fit and it holds it in place very securely because of the super tight fit.I had another shock mount that came with a BM 800 and that fit perfectly. But at the end of the day this will work just fine. I took 1 star off for the difficulty level of installing the microphone in it.
Works just great. The suspension unit itself is very well made ...

Just got it for my Blue Snowball. At first I didn't think it was going to work, given that the Snowball is just a round ball. But, thanks to a tip from another customer, I figured it out. Use the original stand that came with the Snowball, take the legs out and take off the top of the stand. Screw the Snowball into the remaining part of the original stand. Then press the finger clamp on the suspension unit together to spread out the center ring and slip the base (that's the part that has the 'Blue' logo) into the ring.
I have mine mounted on an Atlas Sound tabletop stand. Works just great. The suspension unit itself is very well made and is all metal except for the shock cord. The end result is a very stable platform for supporting the Snowball.

AT2020 inside the leegoal mount

There are a lot of mixed reviews about whether this is compatible or not with the AT2020 - I'll try to be as descriptive as possible so you can decide if it will work for you...
I was able to fit my AT2020 into the mount and it will meet my needs, but it took some effort. The mount was probably built for a bit smaller mic, but since it is kind of a "clamp" mount, you can open it up to just about the size of the AT2020 with some strength. There are some wire "wings" meant to open it up (sort of like a binder clip), but I found it was easier just to get my fingers inside the ring and pry it open that way and then work the mic into it slowly. It is a VERY tight fit, but doable - and I could get it back out if I wanted but it is probably more bother than it is worth so plan on leaving it in the mount once you get it in. I've posted a few pictures so you can see how it fits.
