Specialty Deliciousness at Home!!

I was bankrupting myself driving to a place three miles a day, every day, to spend $5 on a taro bubble tea. If this is not the exact stuff that they use at specialty places in Queens, I can't tell!
Tip: I use almond milk along with water to make my drink. I heat up a few cups worth, half water half milk, add powder, and stir. Then I portion out to go-cups (repurposed Starbucks cold cups) and refrigerate till cold.
Since I also bought the tapioca pearls from same seller, I make about a cup and a half of then at the beginning of the week, leave in fridge VERY TIGHTLY SEALED. When I want a drink, I pop a scoop of the pearls in one of the drinks, add a straw from the collection I liberated from bubble tea place over many daily visits, and voila! My $150/month taro bubble tea habit (that amount didn't include my gas and travel time) is now about $22/mo, zero driving, and negligible prep.

My son introduced me to bubble tea. There are a few places we have visited and the best one my favorite is 20 or so miles away so it's not something you can get whenever you want it. He found this mix on amazon and ordered it, and I have to say it's so yummy. My fav flavor from our bubble tea shop is the Taro with the sweet bubbles and this is just as good. We will definitely order more when we run out and hopefully get to try some more flavors as well. This one is VERY good thought. I recommend it if you like bubble tea or just want to try it for first time. This is a great flavor to start with.

I've had better Almond flavored bubble tea powder. The flavor isn't that great, and it's spicy. That sounds crazy, but even when I watered it down a great deal, I was still getting a distinct burning spice sensation lingered.

it was okay i guess, you need lots of spoonfuls though and its VERY fine powder, i guess that helps dissolve a bit faster, but the problem is, once scoop it out or pour it out, lots of "dust" goes everywhere. i recommend buddha bubbles over this brand unfortunately

Very light taro flavor and I find myself using more than the recommended measurement. I use the powder in my taro latte to give it color but that's about the only use I have for it. I steam real taro, put it in a blender with the powder, milk and sugar. Pour it in a cup and add some tapioca pearls.
