I've been using this product during the work week daily for nearly a year on hardwood floor. Here is a short over view of my experience using this product:
Benefits:
- Covers enough space for a rolling office chair
- Cleans up well without leaving stains
- No damage to hardwood floor when there is an office chair on it and sitting on it for 9 hours a day
Downfalls:
- After about 8 months of usage it doesn't stay as flat on the ground as it used to which causes it to move around very slightly.

I had my office chair on some faux wood laminate flooring. I noticed after a couple days the flooring was getting trashed with long marks from my chair. Purchased this and it has been excellent. It is pricey! but..... so are floors. it does the job very well.

Works. It has decent thickness. Seems thick enough to protect the wood underneath. If it gets damaged, I'll update this review. Also, this DOES NOT SLIDE with the weight of the chair on it. Even with just the chair (without me sitting on it), it takes some effort to slide the thing, which is good.

Overall, I am disappointed with the thickness of the mat. I am using the mat on berber carpet. I have used it for a few days now. The chair's casters leave indentations even after a short duration in the same spot. Also, the casters do not roll smoothly on this mat. I am really going to miss the mat this one is replacing...it was much thicker /sturdier material and very easy to scoot the chair around on. This mat may do ok on hardwood floors, but, on low pile carpet, I can tell this won't last very long. Also, the picture I viewed when purchasing looked as if the mat's underside has little stubs to secure itself into the carpet (similiar to the old mat I am replacing). The mat I was shipped is smooth on both sides. I will definitely not be purchasing this product again.

So I ordered this off my boyfriends wish list for Christmas. The condition of the mat itself is fine, but as other users stated it arrived rolled up and had an odor, so we had to lay it flat with books on the corners for a few days. Not world ending, we expected that. Once it was flat, we noticed the mat also has a cloudy white/light purple tint to the color as it lays on my dark hardwood floor. I cannot tell if that is from the natural light from my windows hitting it or what, but I bought myself a different mat and that one is truly clear about 10 feet over from his (we share a home office), so I hope that people who really want a clear mat take this into consideration. It's not a huge deal, but it's noticeable versus the one I bought. If that is not a concern, then for the price this is serves its purpose.
