Great deal

The coil length is about 7 and 3/4 inches while the tape measures 9 inches. I am not concerned that the coil measured less than 9 inches. I plan to use the zippers for small bags with top zippers, for zipper pockets in the lining of handbags, and for children's play clothes. I am very pleased with the variety of colors. I received 3 zippers for each of 18 different colors. This is such a great deal!
8" Zippers but nice assortment and varied color selection

The assortment I received is really 8" zippers. They aren't as long as the 9" Coats brand and they are longer than the 7" ones but they work perfectly for my purposes. I received all the colors of the rainbow except red and black. I got at least two of each color and more than that for some (I got lots of blues and greens as compared to off white and pink.) The zippers work fine and I haven't found any defective ones. The cost for these makes them a supreme value and I would recommend these to anyone needing 8" zippers for projects. I will likely order the black and white assortment next to round out my color selection at home.
Just an ok product

These zippers are just okay at best. I needed bulk zippers of all color varieties. This was a cheap and easy way to build up what I needed. The colors are vibrant and easy to match to my projects, but every single zipper has been difficult to unzip. They stick at the top, so you really have to tug. Make sure they're sewn in tight to allow for all the tugging required. And, then they zip with some difficulty up and down the nylon.

Great assortment of zippers for your project. I purchased this for my church group for a retreat. We made individual cosmetic bags with religious pattern material. Everyone could choose her color so they knew which one was theirs. Sews nicely. good size. If needed I would do it again. Quality zippers.
Nice quality zippers, but are 8" not 9"

These are great zippers for the price. They zip smoothly and came in a rainbow of colors. I've only found one so far with a damaged tooth. I've sewed 3 pouches so far using them, as well as testing a fourth one on some scrap fabric.
The downside is that they are NOT 9" zippers. They are 9" including the tape, but zippers are measured from the head to the stopper (from the bottom metal stopper to the top of the zipper head when fully zipped). The actual zipper length is only 8".
If length isn't a factor or you need some reasonably priced 8" zippers, I highly recommend these! Happy to answer any additional questions.
