Works ok, sticky tape sometimes jams on metal flattener

It's fair and is serviceable, but for twice the price, the Tach-It 2" wide heavy duty tape gun is better. Our office is moving and we needed some hand-held dispensers and they'll do the job. They get stuck on the thin, economy strapping tape provided by the moving company - the really thin tan colored tape.
Great product for home use.

Product works fine. I use it for personal use, not commercial. So far I like how it performs. I especially like the tension adjuster on the tape roll. Best of all, great price.

I am the librarian in charge of pretty large elementary school library and in this library my wonderful assistant and I have come up with a lot of workarounds for running the library more inexpensively. One of the library hacks we use is using packing tape as our transparent tape we put on all our library books in lieu of the heavily overpriced "library" tape that the vendors try to sell us. In order to make distribution of the tape easier we purchased multiple tape guns.

The Tach-It MN2 2" Wide Economical Tape Gun has seen plenty of action this year. The two we use (two are constantly in action and one is brand new in the box just in case) have been through the ravages and battles fought during an elementary school year. From being constantly dropped from ladders (I'm a klutz) to being... "ahem"... borrowed by teachers who think the library should lend out more than just books, these little babies have stayed strong and performed admirably. They are easy to use and the few times we've actually had to tape boxes with them, they've worked admirably for their intended purpose.

If you are looking for an inexpensive, reliable tape gun that will see you through an elementary school year easily and right into the next one, then I can readily recommend the Tach-It MN2!
Frustrating to use

Appears to be well designed, except for the roller near the cutter/blade. I use 3M packaging tape which is very sticky and the more I use the tape gun, the more the tape starts sticking to the roller so tightly that I cannot dispense the tape. Then it takes a long time to pull the tape from roller, so I can tape up another box. The 3M tapes stick to the roller like crazy glue.

I've used better tape guns that never had this problem. I think this tape gun will work best with cheap tape with weak adhesive. I'm going to try to apply some masking tape or 3M tape onto the roller to make the roller less sticky and see if it will function better.
Not good!

I don't get it.. 4-5 star review.. but I was annoyed after the second use. Tape is inserted correctly yet doesn't stay anywhere after you rip it off the box. it turns into a: fined where you left the tape on the roll and try to peel back the tape without it ripping everywhere, yelling, and chucking a beer across the room. Ugh.... Will be looking for another option, or will swear off packing tape usage forever.

It's really loud too, can't we be a tab bit less intense with the noise.
