After wondering why I broke so many bits, I measured the runout with these collets vs some others that I had - these are horrible! 0.007" runout on the 1/4" bit. Awful.

most of the collets, the run out is very good. under .0005". some were as high as .002". it seems the smaller the collet will hold, the more run out there was.

Rear tapers were all different. It generally shouldn't affect how the collets work, but the 6.5mm collet was bad enough that it would still be loose when tightened into the chuck all the way. So, it couldn't clamp a 6.5mm tool it was designed to hold. It was useless. (I also couldn't get the 1mm collet to seat in either two of my ER nuts.)
Not 1 star, because the rest of the collets were put into the spindle chuck with drill bits near the nominal diameter. Every bit in every collet, except the 6.5mm, visually didn't wobble (a good sign) when spun up in the spindle. Returned because of that bad 6.5mm collet.
