Why does Amazon sell defective products like this?
joandogs2011•April 5, 2018
Totally inaccurate! Wore it from front of building to car; from car a few steps inside a store; from store back to car; from car a few steps into apartment and it registers 799 steps. Today I put it on in bedroom and walked to kitchen in small apartment and it says over 700 steps. I went to return it and got notification "you cannot return this product" as this is a third party seller. So it is money thrown out and the sellers know it. Why any verified purchaser would imply it works is beyond me. It is the same old imported junk. I suggest you all go to sports stores if they are still in your home towns and buy a non mechanical one. I notice this never resets to "off". Also ladies with long fingernails, product hard to open. Product does not stay on elasticized belt of slacks or clipped to pocket though there is a small wire with a clip to hold it dangling to your shoes or clothes. Clip in back so small, fragile, and tight, hard to attach to clothes. Why does Amazon sell defective products like this?
This pedometer gives me hope! IT WORKS!

This is the third pedometer I have bought from Amazon recently. The first two were shipped back because they were defective (I could not even get them activated). Was about to give up on finding a pedometer but decided to give it one more try...And amazingly, this model works right out of the box! No annoying setup instructions to follow. Push one button and you're golden. My kind of technology! A very happy customer. 99 steps and counting...
She only wanted this one

My mother is actually the one who uses this pedometer. She had the same model for a several years, but it got damaged or lost. She liked the ease and accuracy of hers, so she wanted to replace it with the same model. She didn't want to upgrade to a newer kind that had a bunch of functions not necessary to her lifestyle. Amazon was the only place she could find this one.
STEPS-only Pedometers
TEXAS Native•June 24, 2017
The best pedometer for steps-only that I've ever encountered! I am able to use it from the time I dress in the morning until I sleep at night. My only regret is that it's not waterproof! Then I'd never have to remove it whenever I take a shower! I have banged it on a daily basis against the kitchen sink and the SUCKER keeps on working. I have dropped it numerous times on the floor (accidently of course) and the SUCKER just keeps on working! I bought another one in case I misplace or lose the first one. If you don't have a tether for it, get one! This little gem is too great not to use on a daily basis. I'm a retired baby boomer DINOSAUR and this is so EASY to use. It took me a couple of tries to learn how to open it properly. You're never to old to live and learn. I get excited and surprised when I check to see my final count of the day! Are there any other little TOYS out there that I can use my social security entitlement for spending??? Thank you ACCUSPLIT INC for giving me a reason to get out of bed every day!
Seems Accurate

Haven't had this unit very long, but it seems to be pretty accurate. Walked around the house for a bit, and counted 32 steps. The unit displayed 31. Close enough. The latch to open the lid of the unit is kinda... fiddly, I guess. Easy enough to get open, but a little awkward at first. There is a clip on the back of the unit so you can attach it to your belt or pants or whatever.
