Works well to circulate heat from wood stove. No electric power required.

I have 3 Ecofans and 1 smaller "VODA 4-Blade Heat Powered Stove Fan" (from Amazon) on top of my wood stove. ALL ARE QUIET. BIG wood stove. Its difficult to accurately tell which one blows more heat because they sit in different locations, they all have different size fan blades and 1 of the Ecofans i rebuilt. I used a 1/4" piece of shredded paper 10" long and held it in front of each of the 4 fans at the same time when the stove was really hot and I really think that the VODA blew the paper strip with more power. If i were on a budget I would get the Voda. If I were a billionaire I would buy BOTH the VODA and the Ecofan Airmax and set them side by side and ask friends to come over and tell me what they thought. I hope this helps.

My 3 Ecofans are still spinning good. The small $25.00 4-bladed Voda fan died in less than 2 years.
THIS fan, the 812 model, I bough on 12/11/22.
It pushes more air than the smaller Ecofan with an 8" blade and the 3 bladed "Air plus" model. I just today did a test with all 3 of my Ecofans. I placed them on top in the front of the stove just for this 15 minute test then I moved them to the back and side corners where they belong so they draw in cooler air. The smallest model 810 Ecofan started spinning first. The stove got up to about 500 degres and then i held a new Kleenex in front of each to see which one would lift the Kleenex and this 812 won! It held the Kleenex almost straight out like a window shade with my fingers holding both top corners.
I gave the other 2 fans the same exact test and they would hardly move the Kleenex.

My wood stove is a big 28"X24" Grizzly, heavy like a 55 gallon drum full of fuel oil. It eats a lot of wood so I want that heat so spread around the house as much as possible. I will buy another 812 model soon for a spare, just encase our (close by) Canadian neighbors decide to retire. I love their fans, i don't care that they cost more.

This fan is not electric powered . Simply operates by thermal heat output from your wood stove , blowing circulating heat thru your home . Its quiet sleek and made in Canada. If you have a present blower fan on your stove , you might not need to run it with this product . Have now purchased 4 within the past 12 years . Yes they do sometimes need possibly a new motor which is easy to replace or just buy a new one . Meant to move heated air from stove thru your home etc.

Perfect for use with woodturning stove.
