This Loftek Portable LED light is a great source of bright, easy to aim illumination. I don't think that I would take this camping or hiking as suggested since it is not well shaped for backpack carry -- it's not heavy but things stick out in too many directions to make this light very space-efficient. It would be well suited for use as a search light since it has a nice padded handle and long battery life, and the stand makes it good for use as a work light.

I let it run continuously from full charge to self shutoff several times and it lasted just over three hours each time with full light output right up to the end.

On the negative side, the on/off switch is on the bottom of the battery (when it's mounted to the light) and not easy to access. It would be much better if mounted on the top or even the back of the battery. My only other gripe is that there is only one output setting. Given the long run time at full output, you could run this light all night if it had a lower power setting, maybe 40% or thereabouts.

Some important battery pack information.

A fully charged battery pack indicated solid green on battery side LED (it flashes alternating green red when charging) but would not power the light when clipped on. Voltmeter on the teo brass power access points didn't read any voltage.

We opened the battery case (held on with three short Phillips retaining screws on the) access plate (has two brass contact points. After pulling the battery wire connector (one of four mini connectors on the charging.voltage control board, the fully charged battery read 8.7 vDC, the lithium battery is a 7.4 vDC 4.4Ah lithium battery. We re-seated all the mini connectors on the board, reassembled the battery case and reattached the battery pack to the floodlight housing and the light worked. We suspect a badly seated/intermittent battery wire plug caused the battery pack to not work even thought it was charged. pack to the measured the voltage at the brass contact points as

I purchased this light because I work on cars often. I was doubtful of the light when I saw that the light was smaller than I imagined. When I turned it on my doubts quickly dissipated. This light is about the size of your hand but produces an incredible amount of visible light. I had a bad battery but LOFTEK was quick to apologize and send me a replacement. They have exceeded my expectations with the light and the customer service.

Very small, but puts out good light for smaller work areas. It won't illuminate a football field, but it'll light up a dark room or small area that needs extra illumination. The battery holds up quite well, and having the option of not having a cord make for a very versatile light to have in your arsenal.

I purchased this with an extra battery. I really like the amount of light it puts out you just have to be careful not to run out of juice. It is light and
easily portable and has a warning light when the battery approaches the end of its charge. The only negative I see is the switch on the bottom of the battery is a little difficult to get into the full on position.
