Awesome watch and it has a purple light that comes off of the side, so it is different from the US version. My only complaint is that it is Japanese only, and will only use the japanese medals. Other than that, my son loves it and doesn't even care that it is in another language.

The watch is well made.
Con: The instruction is in Japanese only. I can only guess based on limited pictures. The QR code on the Yokai Medal didn't work with Nintendo. Since I can't read Japanese, I don't know if it because American version Nintendo doesn't go with Japanese version Yokai Medal.
