I'm 175 pounds. This board has plenty of flotation for someone my size - although not quite enough to knee paddle. It paddles well and catches waves very easily. I had fiberglass 9' 6' board for over ten years and never really liked it because it didn't accelerate well and it pearled too often. This board is perfect for my kind of surfing. I'm catching waves now that I used to miss. I took it to Sunset Cliffs in Ocean Beach and Tourmaline in San Diego. The quality is better than any other soft surfboard I've seen. If you just want to catch waves and your ego will let your ride a soft board, this is a great choice!
