I purchased this set for use with the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 55-300mm zoom lens which requires a 58mm filter thread.
The Altura ND filters and Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood thread in nicely, but the Vivitar UV & FLD filters and the Altura Tulip Flower Lens Hood will not thread in at all.
The Vivitar Circular Polarizer CPL will thread in if you sit down and fiddle with it for 10 to 15 minutes; definitely not possible in the field.
Update: I replaced the Vivitar UV with a Tiffen which works fine, now I guess I'll have to place the CPL too.

This kit included many things that are a mist have for a beginner photographer. The circular polarizing lens is great, I basically keep it on my camera at all times. I will say that the ND filters aren't that great and cast a weird blue hue over my pictures for some reason.

Great kit for beginners - Only

All PLASTIC lenses. Great kit for beginners. You cannot put the lense cap back on with the tulip hood. Filters can and do thread stack. Filters all come in nicely padded folding pouches. Not sure the quality of the filters when shooting, but will be sure to update. The large rubber lense hood appears to be unusable and deformed when it arrives. Make sure to unfold it by popping it out and then remove the hard center ring and just slide it onto your camera lense. Lense cap can be used with the rubber hood but not the tulip hood cover.
