I almost took off a star because of the 4000lb claim, however I knew what I needed it for in advance and never planned on that much weight. To be honest I would not even put 1000lb on this. It is a well built pulley wheel block hoist. and does the job just fine. I was only using to hoist up about 300lbs and it did it smoothy and easy.

Not sure why all the bad reviews. I used it to reinstall (lift) the three separate components of my tractor; hydro-static transmission, gear box and differential. Was able to lift each component, get it aligned and bolted in place by myself.... Worked great, would have taken 2 or 3 people to do this job without it.. a tool is only as good as the person using it......
