The CF plug in my computer stopped working so I bought this. Shazam!!! I'm sold. The endemic slot in the computer was rated as being fast, but this plug in is way faster. The old slot would take up to an hour to download the whole card. This downloads in less than 10 minutes.
Looks good and does the job

Replaced my old unit (that lasted almost 10 years) with this one. It connected quickly and easily on my late 2011 MacAir, and was recognized immediately. File transfer was also fast. The USB cord is quite heavy and should stand up to many uses, but it's also quite stiff, with the end result being that the unit doesn't lie completely flat on my desk - not a major inconvenience, though, as it still does the job well.
The finish is nice, and matches my Mac perfectly.
Hopefully it'll last as long as my old one. I'm very pleased with it right out of the box, though. The price was right, too.

I am happy with this purchases so far, the only negative I have noticed is with inserting SD cards. When inserting the card I was expecting a click or spring like in the camera but there is nothing, just have to know it's in correct. Also, the card needs to be inserted what appears to be upside down. Once the card is inserted properly I have had not problems. I had several micro sd cards waiting to test this product and came across no issues. It is loght wait and compact, fits nicely in my notebook sleeve pocket
I purchased this card reader and it works great! No more bent pins

I use this card reader mostly for my antiquated CF card, that is used in my Canon Mark III. I used other brands, but the pins that are deep inside the slot would always bend and break off, when inserting the CF card! That was a royal pain!

This product has worked great. And the micro usb extention is great for plugging the card reader directly into an android phone to transfer files. I would have given 5 stars, however, the rubber attachment holding the two pieces together is poorly constructed and detached as soon as I pulled it open. So beyond having to keep track of the micro usb extension, this is a great product for the price. I would order this product again.
