It's not going to be a super strong peel
nicole ainsworth•May 9, 2017
This stuff works. I put two layers on and leave each for 1.5 minutes and I will get some shedding from that. It's not going to be a super strong peel, but I'd be afraid to mess with a high level peel at home anyways. If you are looking for some good exfoliation without a super intense skin shed this one is great
Great medium strength peel.

Love this peel I use it once every month and for acne spots. Peels very well. Not too harsh but does the job.
No Miracles but Improvement...
Becky B.•May 1, 2016
I I've struggled with acne and poor skin since in my early 20's. I've yet to find that "miracle" skin care item that relieves me of these issues but this definitely made an improvement. I've used other peels by this company and I've liked them as well. The first round of the TCA 15% didn't do much so a week later I did it again with the max layers/time per the instructions. I definitely got some good peeling and my pores look smaller. Probably to anyone else they wouldn't notice much but I do. I will also say, I have pretty "tough" skin as far as acids are concerned and my skin is used to acid application. If it hadn't been I wouldn't have done the peel so heavy.
I had hopes that I would see some pretty dramatic results

Not so impressed... Not strong enough for me. First off, I have never had any chemical or any other type of peel before. Literally never did much else to my face in the way of exfoliation other than scrubs. So when I purchased this, I had hopes that I would see some pretty dramatic results. I stayed at a low 15% concentration fearing that if I got a stronger one, I would have some big disaster. My mistake... In retrospect, I may have been overly cautious as this one didn't seem to give me enough of a peel.
The very first time I tried it, it didn't really burn until about a minute and a half in (I used a stopwatch just to be sure), and then it felt uncomfortable for a few more seconds so I washed it off. I kind of liked the result - that same evening I felt definite tightness in my face and if I looked under magnification, you could see the skin kind of look puckered (weird description, but I can't describe it any other way). The next day I did see some very minimal peeling and I was happy with that.
Well, after all this peeling excitement wore off , I realized my skin kinda looked the same again. Perhaps I need to keep using the product repeatedly to really have dramatic results.
The second time and all subsequent times I used it, I could literally leave it on for 3 minutes and then I would feel burning, but only in sensitive areas like the crease by my nostril (probably shouldn't have used it there anyway).
But there was no more puckering and definitely no peeling.
I really wanted a dramatic result, and as a first timer I hoped a lower concentration would achieve that for me. Guess not.
I will however purchase from Perfect Image again, because their packaging and instructions are clear and thorough, and because I feel that their products are professional. So my lower star is really only because this concentration seems too weak.

peels are best kept inexpensive secret!
K. Dosal•November 8, 2015
Chemical peels have been an inexpensive solution to looking younger. At age 26, I looked like I was in my 30s and due to deep laugh lines, I thought I would need botox. I also had bad acne. My chance, I discovered chemical peels. My first was a 30 percent salicylic. I had visible peeling and my laugh lines were immediately reduced! 6 months later I repeated it but realized Id need something stronger. I moved on to 50 percent lactic acid and then 50 percent glycolic. They worked but had no visible peeling. Now I used this 15 percent tca and it was great and I had visible peeling as well as disappearance of some forehead lines. I didn't "frost" nor had any pain afterwards. Just dry peeling skin which is normal. Tca is stronger than the other acids. Its great to start out with this 15 light mixture before trying 20 or more. I am 31 and easily look like I'm in my early to mid 20s. Also, makesure to have good skincare in between monthly peels. This includes a good facewash, exfoliator and moisturizer/sunscreen and a toner and eyecream. Perfect image peels have also been of great quality. The liquid is always thick, not watery, making it safer for application.
