GREAT ATTACHMENT TO YOUR GAS TRIMMER
Johnny Ray•February 6, 2018
I have an electric hedge trimmer which I will be selling in a yard sale this summer. The attachment is great! I trimmed the hedges in record time. I plan on trying the chain saw attachment next.
The trimmer gets heavy so I also purchased a harness. This made carrying the whole unit much easier. Also, don't use gas in your trimmer. Purchase a high octane mixture designed for two cycle engines. They sell it where the trimmers are located in your hardware store. My trimmer starts every time I need it, even after a long winter.

Great little Hedger!

The first one I ordered did not work. I seemed like it was frozen in the gear head. I didn't want to risk the warranty by disassembling and trying to fix, so I requested a replacement. Amazon got me a replacement out that same day. (Love Amazon!)
Got the replacement in, and it works like a champ. Keep in mind that this is a 22" bar. Some others are 15" bar...big difference.
It is much better than my electric or battery powered hedge trimmers. Great price point, and the articulating knuckle makes all the difference in the world. I have 10ft hedges, and was tired of climbing up and down a ladder to trim the tops. Now I can simply change the angle of the blade, and trim away.
I have not received any free goods in exchange for this review.
Buy it if you need it, I believe you will be satisfied.

Perfect attachment for my Husqvarna 128LD
ERCAR•August 20, 2017
I have been using a Black+Decker electric hedger for years (and still do for smaller jobs), yet have always wanted an hedger attachment for my Husky, but did not want to pay the Husky price.
Picked this up recently for the variegated privets that seemingly grow as fast as South Alabama Kudzu, and because when cutting the privets, an electrical cord is constantly in the way. Cutting the cord in two is also a fun experience...
Initial attachment to my 128LD oriented the hedger perpendicular to the ground. Not really a problem, however not to my liking. Therefore as other reviewers have noted, I engineered (read, rotated 90º) the attachment locking mechanism to fit my personal preference. That is really no big deal, and certainly not worthy of 1 fewer star ranking. After all, there is absolutely no way one attachment is going to fit every available trimmer and meet everyone's personal preferences.
I put this thing to the test immediately and it passed with flying colors. Now, it is quite a bit heavier than using my electric hedger, but with twice the blade length and the ability to chew through much thicker foliage, it has become my go to hedger due to speed and portability.
Like most of my reviews; if this ever fails, I will come back and update accordingly.

Works great with Stihl Kombi!
NWG•August 14, 2017
Used it for the first time last night. For all those who are wondering it works just fine on my Stihl Kombi km90r power head. There's so much mixed information on compatibly online. I just went for it and it works fine no modification necessary!

Mr. M. Fox•August 13, 2017
Most hedge trimmer attachments are functionally identical and probably made in China so I decided to purchase based on price. Reading prior reviews led me to expect some problems and I wasn't disappointed. The first issue was the locking pin was oriented 90 degrees off from the corresponding hole in my power head (A Poulan Pro unit). I removed the connecting tube from the attachment and drilled a new hole properly oriented. It then attached properly. Some people noted the unit was heavy but I find the weight counterbalances the engine and makes the assembly better balanced, although it does get heavy trimming the top of a tall hedge. After using it for a few minutes, the blades began stopping intermittently for no apparent reason. Usually, stopping and re-starting the engine would get them moving again. I disassembled the attaching tube again and reversed the flexible drive shaft. That seems to have fixed the problem. (Note: if you do this, be careful because the flexible drive shaft can now fall out of the attachment. This is because the shaft collar retaining it is now on the wrong end and cannot function.) The gear head gets quite hot when the unit runs so use caution around it. There are no maintenance instructions but I suspect it will be necessary to open the gear head and lubricate the gears occasionally. The angle adjustment is quick and easy - probably the best design feature. I have used it to trim a hedge and cut vegetation underneath fences. I also intend to use it along stream banks and ditches. When used close to the ground, the unit really isn't long enough and you have to bend over to use it. I'm going to try using a drive extension to correct for this. In conclusion, I wouldn't buy this unit unless you're willing and able to modify and/or re-engineer it as required for your application. If you are, it's a good value.
