Arrived very promptly in good condition. It seems like a solid product in that it doesn't leak and the comb seems sturdy. What I had hoped is that the rinsing water came out of the sides or ends of the comb instead of through separate jets that seem misdirected rather than going right where I am combing between the fins of the filter. I think better direction of the water would make it more effective.

I should have listened to the other reviews that complained about the cheap plastic and it breaking.

As others have stated, there is a weak portion that makes it easy for it to break (see picture). I contacted the manufacturer since it seems that others have experienced the same thing and they said, "sorry." That's it. They will absolutely not take it back, stand by their product, etc. They did admit that there was a problem in the molding that was recently fixed but, of course, that doesn't help me or the many people who have gotten less than optimal number of uses from this plastic cheap cleaner.

I would never buy this product or any product from this company again.

This product did work well while it lasted, but did not last long at all.

I was very careful with this thing, since the construction feels about as sturdy as I would expect from the dollar store. I was very gentle with the threads, it was not left outside in the sun, dropped or otherwise abused, but it still managed to break after a dozen or so uses. Unfortunately, the part that threads onto (the metal part of) the hose is made out of a light and very brittle plastic. Given that the threads on the hose are metal, it is no surprise that it didn't take long for it to split and leak, then break off altogether.

Given the price, I expected to get MUCH more use out of this thing than I did. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect people to take this on and off of their hose, as I suspect many people do not have a hose to dedicate just to cleaning their pool filter. Even so, I doubt it would fare well if left in the sun and subjected to drops (with the weight of an attached hose).

This WAS a great tool for cleaning our filters... until it broke after just 4 months. I'm looking for a replacement from a brand that's higher quality.

Where do we start. This thing works! The only downside is I'm on my second one and looking for an alternative metal solution to rid myself of the continual purchase of a plastic inferior product. Like others have mentioned it is manufactured out of two mating pieces of injection molded plastic. Unfortunately it is such a poor design and they failed to implement a metal connector which easily would've solved the problem in an effort to keep the costs minimal and margins up. This product may cost 1.50 to manufacture it's being wholesale for maybe 4 or 5 dollars and details for 22. The only problem is you will go through these more often than a 99 cent garden hose attachment from the dollar store. Save your money. This producer also makes a similar comb marketed as a pet grooming tool sold for about half the price. Of your looking for a cheap product I would buy the one intended for pets since it works the same and you can buy 2 for the price of one of these since it will break over time. They are sensitive cannot be dropped on floor or it will crack and break, cannot be under too much pressure it will crack and break. They just have too thin of a wall thickness where the swivel adapter connects to the garden hose so so because of the lack of wall thickness it has no strength meaning less durable and less desirable.
