Was excited thinking this was going to be good but the soldering utensil broke very quickly and overall very unreliable heat had basic unit work way better..

First unit was way out of cal. even with max temp. correction offset. Solder iron barely melted solder. Board preheater was inop. Return amd replaced unit. Second unit temps. are ok, but air velocity only about half of what first unit had, but servicable, so I kept it. Works ok

really great value. Lots of extras - tips, heating elements, tools, etc. heat up is quick. instructions are terrible but it's pretty straightforward to assemble. for the hobbyist I don't think you'll beat this in terms of value. heat is off but consistent; checked against a pt100 and found it to be somewhat off but its consistent from application to application. There's a calibration mode but I'd rather avoid messing with it and have just found the points that work for various activities.

I bought this a year ago. I have not used it that much, maybe10 times over the past year. I was using the hot air and then BOOOM. Power gone, everything dead. I opened the unit to check and there is no fuse. The transformer is blown, quality is not too good, considering that it blew after ten uses. I doubt there will be any sort of warranty. I will not buy again, build quality is not good either. Go with Hakko, more serious company with better support. I will buy from them a new unit given my problem with this brand.

Excellent product was arrived on time and the greatest thing this machine can be used to work reballing plates ps3 and 360 well plates exbox computer only need to adjust more preheater temperature to 350 to 280 to the torch preheater and air and that if using the correct nozzle to the measured BGA that work . excellent product they recommend
