Seems like a great beginner’s violin.

I bought this violin as I have always wanted to learn to play. So far, I am very happy with it. I will say that the A string broke during tuning. This was frustrating, as I had to buy new "” albeit better quality "” strings. After getting it restrung, I was able to get everything tuned.
The case seems really good. The zipper on the front pocket was messed up and took some finagling to get back into alignment, but I was able to without any damage.
On the inside, everything feels secure and well protected. The rosin arrived perfectly intact. The bow feels good.
I cannot say too much on the overall sound quality on the acoustic end, as I am just starting out, so I am still at the stage where my "playing" sounds like a cat in medical distress.
I have yet to hook it up to a PA/Amplifier, so I will update this review when I know if that function is working properly.
For now, I consider this to be an amazing value for the beginner violinist.

What I really like is the sound of the violin itself and its black glittered finish. Nice tone produced.
Love it

I actually really love this violin. I bought this to get back into playing - played 20 years ago in HS. It has a great sound especially on the E and A strings. I think it's better quality than what I played on previously. I appreciate that it comes with everything you need to get started, shoulder rest, rosin. Took a few plays to break in the bow but overall great purchase.
Cool addition to my collection

If you're a beginner looking for an acoustic/electric violin with an antique varnish finish, this particular model might be a good option for you.
The violin is well-made and feels sturdy in your hands. The antique varnish finish gives it a nice vintage look, which is a nice touch. The sound is good and the instrument holds its tune well.
One of the biggest selling points of this violin is the fact that it is an acoustic/electric hybrid. This means that you can plug it in and amplify the sound, which is great for live performances or recording sessions. The electronics work well and produce a clean sound with minimal feedback.
However, there are a few downsides to this violin. One is that the included bow is not of the best quality, so you might want to consider purchasing a separate bow if you plan on playing frequently. Another is that the overall sound of the instrument is not as rich and full as you might expect from a higher-end violin.
In summary, this is an okay beginner's acoustic/electric violin with an antique varnish finish. It has some nice features and a good sound, but there are some downsides to keep in mind. Overall, it's a decent option for a beginner who is just starting out and looking for an affordable instrument.

VSO: Violin Shaped Object but not bad for the price

Overall I got what I expected and paid for, it's a super cheap violin. It came set up and everything described was in the case. (5 stars) It makes a good "I'm not sure that I'm ready to spend money on a real violin" but I want to try to play one. It made a sound the first time I put the bow on the strings but it's difficult to tune. I'd recommend it for at home learning and practice but not for playing in public because its sound quality is mediocre. I took a star off of the overall rating and only gave 2 for craftsmanship because the audio jack is loose inside the violin (and rattles) because it was missing the nut that should have held it to the side of the body (should have been caught before it was put into the case).
