We're building our home and while we can't afford all the bells and whistles, I wanted one thing to call my own. So I got two! One for my knives and one for the keys in the front closet. Really looking forward to using this secret pleasure daily! The magnet is super strong and the quality is excellent. It took a good amount of searching to find out how the magnet got placed inside.

Shipping internationally was quick and affordable.

Beautiful and amazing. The craftsmanship is superb, there are no visible joins or fills to give away where the magnets were inserted. The mounting holes on the back are precisely 10 inches apart and whole piece is very finished and refined. The neodymium magnets hold even my large Chef knife up with no problem. Was able to fit an 8" Chef, 8" Slicer, Bread Knife, 7" Santoku, 5" Santoku, paring knife and serrated utility knife on all at the same time.

The unit I received was in perfect condition and the installation was simple. I got exactly what I expected and could not be happier with it.

The knife holder itself is great. It looks beautiful, and has a strong magnetic field, able to easily handle my heaviest knife (a ~2lb. cleaver).

However, the assembly items (screws, etc.) arrived incomplete. My package was missing one of the hollow wall anchors - only one was in the package. From what I understand, there should be two with each board.

In order to prevent this in the future, perhaps the vendor can include an extra screw and hollow wall anchor in future packages. If the requirement is two, include three. They barely cost anything, and even if the little bag that holds the anchors and screws is missing one, there will still be enough to install. Most "some assembly required" type of items include extra screws, washers, etc.

I would definitely order this item again, since it's probably just an unlucky roll of the dice for me to get shorted a hollow wall anchor. I'd be willing to take the chance on another, and I will probably receive the correct package of assembly items.

**EDIT** -- the owner of the company that makes the product personally stepped in to make sure I got what I was missing, and in amazingly fast response time! I've updated my review accordingly. See the response from Aaron, and my reply to him, below.

I adore this knife rack. Most have metal rails, and I cringe at the thought of my precious knives being snapped against metal. All the other wooden or plastic knife racks I've looked at have a few little magnets inside them, meaning the magnetized areas are inconsistent and spotty. This one holds my knives where I put them securely, while also being attractive. It's exactly what I wanted, and it works as well as I could want.
