Both crabs arrived sooner than expected and very well and safely packaged. I opened immediately and bathed them per instructions and once placed in their new home have become active and look healthy. I purchased a 3rd crab to keep them company because of my postitive experience. I have had very bad experiences with live hermit crabs from other business in past and was reluctant to try again after many years. Very happy I did- I will do business with Nature Gift Store in future :)

But it just turned out he's a little more timid and is doing fine. We've had them for a few days now ...

We bought my son a hermit crab for his birthday at the mall and two days later it was dying so I decided to try ordering a replacement. I was a little unsure about ordering these because the reviews are so mixed, but there's no place near us to buy them. So I went ahead and ordered on a Sunday and received them on a Wednesday. The first one started crawling around as soon as we unpacked him but the other one didn't move for a while so I was a little worried he wasn't going to make it. But it just turned out he's a little more timid and is doing fine. We've had them for a few days now and they both seem very healthy.

Get them local or on small trips!!

They died. I thought they just had to warm up but they didn't move at all.

I purchased these before. I'll write a review but basically 1 was dead, 1 wasnt. I just recieved these and both seem very healthy. They come packaged in a cup, packed in paper with a sponge that is now dry. I didnt see food, but they are packed tight in the cup so I may have missed it.So im not crazy about how they are shipped. Both times came a day early & they just left them by the door. Advice; have the conditioned water ready and give to them right away! Habitat ready is also good to warm them up. I love mine, I have asthma, so they are a good fit. Have knowledge on how to care for them. Theres alot to it. Enjoy them!
