Here's my 100% honest review of this product. First and foremost, the star is well built and easy to install. The only reason I gave it 3 stars has nothing to do with quality or issues I've had with the unit. It's because after I bought it and put it on, I realized that spending $400 on something 1.) You, as the owner, never really see yourself. It doesn't light up when you unlock or lock your doors, only when your engine is running. (The Gen 1 star does this). I knew this info prior to purchasing this. 2.) Nobody can see during the day, the star doesn't light up all that bright, or really even stand out that much, contrary to MB's pictures that it's marketing team uses. Unless it is literally pitch black outside you cannot see the star is illuminated. 3.) The color of the star's lighting is different than your Day Time Running lights (LEDs). It's not that "pure white" match to your DTRs. 4.) At night when your headlights are on, the Bi-Xenon's completely overpower the star's ability to be seen.

I admit, I have a case of buyers remorse. Hindsight is 20/20. For anyone thinking about adding this, ask yourself; Is it really worth spending $400 on a slightly gimmicky mod? As a car enthusiast and a guy who loves to add my own unique touch to my cars, I came to the conclusion that I should've spent my money on something else.
