The media could not be loaded. Love this 3/4" steel fireback. I bought it along with high efficiency fireplace grate from the same company and the combination is perfect. Very easy to keep the fire going. Create a nice ember bed. At least 30% more heat is pushed into the room. Highly recommend. Worth the $. Love it.

Actually puts out more heat from your fireplace

I put this into a gas fireplace in the family room. This fireplace has been more decorative that functional. It never really put out much heat. So, I hoped that I would get some more heat, not just looks.
For about the first 15 minutes, there is no discernible difference in heat output. After about 15 minutes, you can start to notice more heat than usual and by 30 minutes later, there is a very noticeable increase in heat output. It is not a huge change, but definitely noticeable.
If you are looking at this for decoration, it is not particularly note worthy. It is just a 1/2" steel plate with a fine finish. In the fireplace behind the logs, who cares. The feet were nice, but unnecessary as I leaned against the back wall and pinned it with the log grate.
Nice product, does what it says it will do, and was easy to put in place. What else do you want?

Great Wall of Fire Reflective Fireback works wonders. It's totally protecting our masonry while reflecting back heat.
