every single person I've given this led snow globe to has absolutely loved it. You can go through old family photo albums or get some of that person's favorite pictures from relatives then copy it to the right size.
I like to make a sheet of several photos so the person can switch them out if they want to. I also always tell them if they have any other photos they would like to have for their snow globe I'll be glad to make it for them.
best of all, the snow globe is plastic so you don't have to worry about it breaking and it makes a great project to do with your kids to send to grandparents, parents, aunt, uncle's what have you.

Easy to put together, but it doesn't always light up when you turn it on (have to jiggle it around) and the plastic dome does make it feel cheap. Although if you drop it, you probably won't break it so that's a plus.
