As we live in a rural area surrounded by woods, I purchased this vest to allow my dog to be quickly identified as Not-A-Deer by hunters. It works a treat! I purchased the medium size for my 45-pound GSP mix and it fits very well. The velcro is strong and the vest has stayed in place and remained unripped through rolling around and dashing through dense brush. The color is very bright and easy to spot at a distance. The reflector strips and paw print catch even small amounts of light, aiding her visibility at dusk, and glow very brightly in car headlights or flashlights. It is very lightweight and does not impede my dog's movement. I admit I thought it was a bit pricey when I first purchased it, but having used it I am very pleased and consider it money well spent.

I have now had this vest for a year. My dogs wear it when they run through the woods and high brush during hunting season. At the same time I bought this I got a different brand at the local pet store for a grand dog who was visiting at the time. The one from the pet store was destroyed within a a few weeks while running the same places my dogs were running with these vests. Now we are into the second hunting season to be in the woods and these vests look good as new except the dirt in the velcro. I have washed them in the washing machine and hang to dry when they have gotten really dirty. (Make sure to close the velcro). I also put them on the dogs if we have to walk when it is raining. It helps keep them a little dryer. It always makes it much easier to see them through the trees so I can see what they are doing or if they are just ignoring me when I call. I highly recommend this brand. I am currently getting one for the granddog who destroyed last years of another brand.

I ordered a Large and it fits my 78lb Rottie mix with strap length to spare. Length wise she it doesn't cover her entire back, but it does cover sides. It is waterproof so what is covered stays dry (it's not sold as a raincoat)

This is a great reflective vest! Size Small fits our 22-pound muscle-y mini schnauzer just right. (Not that he likes wearing it, though.) The velcro straps are long and that makes them highly adjustable. Construction of the garment is very good. This is a great addition to his wardrobe and will improve his chances of NOT getting shot during hunting season and of NOT getting hit by a car at night! Double goodness.

exactly what I was looking for. Fits my GSD well, she's a big-boned German bloodline and weighs 70 lbs and it fits her across the chest and neck with room to spare and ends about where her back hips begin (somewhere around 6 or so inches before the tail base) so it covers most of her back. I am really using it for walking at night and also during fireworks as she grows anxious during fireworks (Fourth of July and New Years in this area are noisy nights) A lightweight jacket makes her feel more secure and eases her anxiety. Weird but it really works, I borrowed one from my doggy sitter on Fourth of July after he recommended it and it worked miracles! I decided to buy her a jacket of her own and had a tough time finding one that was lightweight enough for Florida heat and fit her girly physique ;] This works great and I am looking forward to trying it out on New years when my neighbors go crazy with the fireworks again. The fabric is nice, kind of a light rain jacket feel to it and it does reflect well when light hits it at night so I would recommend it for that purpose as well.
