I wish I had bought this years ago. Compared to 4 hours in a tumbler with a lot of noise I can clean the same amount of 9 mm (~250 - 300) in 30 minutes. I can reload in the same room while the brass is cleaning. t may not save that much time since I now de-prime first, but the primers go in easier, plus after drying in a towel and blow drying I let them sit overnight. I have not re-used any of the treated water since it;s so dirty. The brass is not as shiny as with a tumbler and polish, but the targets don't seem to care. Around 1500 rounds so far.
I plan on cleaning some gun parts soon and may update the review after that.

Bought this as a gift for my husband's birthday. He uses it to clean handguns after the range and he raves about it. Fill it up w/hot water and Simple Green, turn it on, walk away. He is impressed at how easily it removes dirt. His buddy brought over one of his handguns that hadn't been cleaned in years. This machine easily removed the build up. Made it look brand new. Going to buy another one for a friend of the family for his birthday. Also this machine is VERY durable. The husband dropped it (!!!!!!!!) as he was moving it and nothing was damaged. Works fine after the mishap.
Heater is the weak link, look here on replacement specs.

Does an amazing job. I've cleaned mostly carburetor, bicycle, jewelry, and gun parts. However, the heater did destroy itself somehow. I was beyond the replacement period so I tore it open and started measuring components. The problem with mine was the element itself. I used a heat gun to soften the epoxy and pulled the element out. It's around 1"x2", or around 25x50mm, and 2mm thick. It's rated at 100W @ 120v, since the transducer is 60W, and the entire unit is rated at 160W. I found comparable heater units in China on our favorite auction site for only a few bucks. It should be an easy repair for anyone willing to crack the unit open and employ a hammer. Good luck!
Cleaner seemed to work well; when it did work - Died at 1 year & two weeks........

Cleaner seems to work well however after ~4-6 months of use I get condensation on the inside of the LED plastic cover every time I use it now. This is odd since of the few times I have used it, only the tank has touched water. When not in use, tank is emptied and dried with a towel. I see discoloration on the bottom of the "stainless" tank as well. No chemicals used other than water and a few drops of dish soap.
Update: Clean died just a few weeks over a year from purchase. Had issues with condensation as stated above which I believe is what killed it. Popped a fuse, replaced fuse twice, both popped as soon as I hit the ON button. If your looking for something to last only a year with intermittent use then this might work for you. Sad since my old cleaner worked for over 17 years (still works)"¦ thought this was an upgrade; I was wrong.

Great Cleaner for the Price Point

The ultrasonic cleaner is a great for the price point and works well for small items. I use it to clean mobile device logic boards. This will not really work miracles by itself so thats one thing buyers need to know. Just like any ultrasonic cleaner it is one half of the equation, the other half is the cleaning mixture you use. For me I use Branson EC cleaner at a mixture of 5% cleaner to 95% distilled water and it works wonders. I do like the fact it has a good heater which will reach just above 50 degrees C. Depending on how much cleaning mixture you have it will determined the heat up time. For me I only use about half a liter so its only about a 10 minute warm up. If you fill it up it may take about 30 minutes to hit 50 degrees C.
