It's a non-acrid, sweet and not bitter flavor that works really well on salmon and cold smoked cheeses that we just smoked this past week. This weekend we mixed some apple with these Lumber Jack cherry pellets and smoked slabs of pork ribs. This is now going to be our go-to combo for pork, DELICIOUS!
We do a lot of smoking. This is the only brand (and we've tried quite a few) that you don't mind the smoke clinging to your clothes and hands. Hmmm ..... think I'm going to put this in my will to smoke my suit with these pellets just before the viewing. I can just hear the comments, "Aw, don't he look natural ... and smells really nice."

Lumberjack pellets are really amazing. They stand out from other brands with a better flavor and slightly more smoke flavor compared to other pellet brands (due to the smaller diameter and more lignen). I've tried MBC, competition blend, and apple from lumberjack, and all three are great. Is still rather smoke with my stick-burner, but if I must use the pellet smoker, these pellets are the way to go. The one drawback is that these pellets produce a small amount more ash than other brands. This isn't an issue of you clean your burn pot each time, or if you are using these in a tube smoke generator.
