The best for stopping itching and allergic irritations

Benadryl Gel is great to use on eczema outbreaks, poison ivy, bug bites and basically any itchy areas on skin. It blocks the itches and even helps kill pain. We like it better than the spray because it doesn't get on other areas and is less messy. It's better than the cream because the cream still shows no matter how much you rub it in. We've had Benadryl gel in our medicine cabinet for probably 20 years. This tube looks different than the old ones, but contains the same 2% diphenhydramine in a clear gel.
Best thing since toilet paper!

If I could give this a million stars I would. It's the one item in my house besides toilet paper I make sure we always have. Works great on bug bites for taking the itch away. On sunburns. I use it after waxing for taking away the redness and stinging. If you have hives it helps. It has real Benadryl in it so it really helps with inflammation. Love it X a million

CONS
- Limited to using only this gel or an oral medication, not both. However, I far prefer the gel because it doesn't make me sleepy and it is quite effective!
- Limited to using only 3-4 times a day. Again, this hasn't been an issue so far and using it 3-4 times a day has done the trick! However, I have not yet tried this on hives, knock wood! ;-)
My sister recommended this product to me and now I am recommending it to everyone! I will buy it again! ~ D

Nothing was working to relieve the sting and itch of bug bites on my kids. Mosquitos have been more vicious than normal this year. This gel handled it almost instantly. No more itching or stinging and the swelling went down within a few minutes. I'm so thankful for this product !
Very thin and drippy, hard to apply. No tamper proof seal. Not recommended.

To call this a gel is a bit of a stretch. The contents are watery and get all over everything. The package did not have a tamper proof seal so I wonder if this was a returned item that was then re-shipped to me, despite it supposedly coming directly from Amazon. Its anti-itch properties are not nearly as good as the Benadryl ointment. Because the price is so low, I suspect something may be amiss. In any case, while I did not bother to return it, I would not buy it again and do not recommend it to others.
