Expensive piece of painted plastic

My new 2017 Toyota Highlander did not come with the bumper protector, so I just ordered it myself. It is nothing more than a piece of plastic painted shiny silver/chrome, with a long adhesive strip along the back of it that is far more expensive than it should be. All you do is remove the paper from the adhesive strip, line it up with the center of the back of the cargo area (there is a little arrow on the bumper protector itself so you know where the center of the protector is) and press it down. It seems pretty secure. It will help the bumper not get all scratched up when I put large items into the cargo hold area.
I highly recomend this.

I have a XLE 2016 highlander and needed a lot of protection for the back door but I was not able to find in any store on the internet, so I found this product and I decided to take a chance on buying since the models of the highlander 2015 and 2016 are well alike, and to my luck served perfectly, I highly recommend this seller the product came very fast and packaged very well and seems to be of good quality since they're saying it's an original piece of toyota, I was very happy with my purchase and my car was even more stylish with this door protection brings, I highly recommend it.

This thing is awesome. It was super easy to apply. Just clean and dry the bumper, peel, and stick. It even has a mark to help you center is appropriately. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about the durability but I've had it on for a few months now without any problems. It is still as shiny and well attached as day one despite multiple car washes, snow trips, and constant contact with stroller wheels and kids climbing into the trunk. A must have to protect the pain on my new highlander. I'd buy again in a heartbeat. Way cheaper on Amazon than at the dealer.

This arrived quickly, fits my 2015 Highlander perfectly and looks great.
It arrives with no instruction but a monkey could do it. Most difficult is making sure you are centered before affixing. You get one shot, no pressure.
Sturdy, fits snugly, lopls great and serves purpose. Ships quickly. Don't hesitate to buy this item.

I know I paid more for the Toyota-branded protector compared to other accessory sources, but it fit perfectly and was easy to install. And Amazon had the best combined price, especially when compared to the MSRP.
Why not five stars? First, no instructions were provided in my Amazon shipment but I found them here: http://www.toyotapart.com/PU060-48214-P1.pdf If I'm going to pay a premium for genuine Toyota parts, I think I should receive instructions instead of having to hunt them down.
Secondly, neither the Amazon product description, nor the instructions I found, mentioned the fact that the fake chrome metal was covered with a bluish plastic saran-wrap skin that should have been removed before exposed to 100+ degree (F) sunshine.
