After adding the bongo, the max height of my bongo surface is a little bit higher than 3 feet. This is high enough for me to play it while standing. Solid product, very sturdy, not made in China as advertised.

I purchased this to use with a bongo set. It works good and I have no issues. My only comment is that it will only lower to about 24 inches -- which means it sits up a little higher than where I normally hold the bongos between my knees. Since I am 6 foot, I would think it would be very high for anyone else.

I was hesitant to pay that much for a bongo stand, but I went ahead and bit the bullet. When I received the stand I understood why it costs so much. Very heavy duty and highly adjustable. If you are a performer and want to avoid a mid-performance catastrophe get this stand.

Bongo stand was fairly compact . I own all meinl percussion and it was fairly easy opening the bracket where you put the bongos stand in . You have a big treaded knob that needs to be screwed into outside part of bracket . Once you have that in the meinl bongo slips in easy . They give you a wrench for tuning up bongos as well . I would of preferred Chrome but it works fine
