Replaces Culligan water softener cleaner

We live north of San Antonio TX and our well water is like liquid cement. We always use high quality salt and pre-filter and rinse sediment out of our brine tank every year.

However, five years into using the Kinetico, we lost all soft water, manually ran cycles and checked our brine tank float (7 3/4") and so forth. Kinetico said they could replace the resin for about $600 including service call and resin/labor but the tech said to try ResCare- apply the first dose as indicated and then just apply about 1/4 cup every week on a day you remember. They'd rather send out techs who really need critical service and not get backlogged so it was a win-win.

Within 24 hours, we noticed when showering the water a little softer for the first time in about three months.
By 48 hours, it was back to 100% soft water.

It's an amazing product- period- at least with our extremely hard, limestone aquifer-based well water in Central Texas.

I have been using Rescare cleaner for a couple of years now. I have a clear jar that I marked with a half cup measurement to dump into the brine tank every two weeks. That is about how often our softener regenerates. You can tell when the softener regenerates when you take that morning shower and feel how the water does feel so much softer like the first day you installed your softener. I mainly started using this as our water supply from the county does have a bit of iron in it. I use a whole house filter with a string cartridge and you can see the dark orange color appear after about a year's use of water. Whatever the whole house filter doesn't get, Rescare cleaner will clean it from the resin and make it last longer. This product is hydrochloric acid so be really careful with it. I always have a damp paper towel in my hand to put under the glass jar before I pour the acid into it. You will get some drops that will want to slide down the container so after pouring just quickly catch that with the damp paper towel before putting it all away. There are other products out there and I had tried them but none even comes close to this one. I am ordering another gallon today, 7/11/2023. I find I use a gallon about every six or seven months. Get this, you will love it!
