There are many reasons this press is so good. Can't beat the price.

This is an outstanding press for all of your homemade tortilla making. I shopped around and settled on this one. Cast iron is much stronger than aluminum ones. Mass help keep it in place and aides in what a press needs to do. Press with little effort. Size, Large enough. You can always make smaller tortillas if you like. A small press can't make them this size too. Casting, fit, finish and the quality of this press shows they care and pay attention to the details. When I said all, I meant flour tortillas too. Some folks will tell you Corn tortillas only. This one will do white flour tortillas just fine. Just keep the pressure on for the count of 5 and let the tortilla dough stretch, it will spread out and not spring back much smaller. Not for the giant Burrito size but more the hand held taco size.
Awesome tool, Homemade Tortillas !!!

Very sturdy and very easy to use. I would suggest to cut out 2 square pieces of wax paper when pressing tortillas to avoid sticking.

Makes really good roti! I followed the instructions in one of the review. Press 2-3 times for desired thickness.
Easy to use for both tortillas and tostones!

Easy to use. Works very well. Slit the sides of a gallon ziplock bag and press tortilla between the layers. It comes off easily. This is for corn tortillas, not flour! You have to roll flour out with a rolling pin.
If you neeed a recipe, Google "tortilla recipe j kenji lopez-alt" and it'll pull up his recipe on SeriousEats. Great stuff! This is a really fun taco book with a lot of tacos off the beaten path. Tacos: Recipes and Provocations Pics 2-4 below are tacos I made out of that book. Pic 5 is Tacos al Pastor. Google "tacos al pastor j kenji lopez-alt". It takes a few days, but very worth it.
If you don't have a tostonera, this works really well as a tostone (fried plantain) press, too. Just use your hand instead of the handle, and don't press all the way.
