Bought a few of these over the last few years and it's great. Works exactly as described and great tool. I use it to break down boxes for recycling every week.

It has a spot in the handle to store a few extra blades, which is handy. It's not hefty but not flimsy either. The light-weight design is better and easier than heavy metal ones in my experience. Had it for over a year now of weekly use and no issues. Bought a few of these as follow-up purchases just to have spares. Only thing less than perfect is it's a bit tricky putting the blade in, but not enough to cause major annoyances.

Price is good, construction is good, works as designed. Would definitely recommend.

The best at what it does"¦which is open boxes and product casing, shrink wrap etc. if you're regularly cutting through double walled cardboard I'd use a more standard utility knife.

This things shines in it's design. Feel good in the hand. It gives your two depth guard lengths as you advance the blade, and the lowest is quite shallow, about 1/8 inch and a is great for cutting into a box with, say, bags of rice inside.

It also has a very useful hook shaped cutting for plastic and shrink wrap on the but of the knife you access by pushing your selector both down and slightly into the knife perpendicular to its length. I did slightly modify the knife by cutting away some plastic to give me more access to grip the hook knife when opening"¦it would be fine if I had fingernails but I need to wear gloves and this just makes it easier

The only minor downside is the storage space for extra blade in the back/top is nearly useless. It doesn't really fit blades and feels flimsy as heck. I managed to get one stored in there but honestly I'd probably b a replacement blade from my locker instead of trying to open the compartment.

I love it, is super safe to use.

I got this because my mom had an older model, and I liked it so much. It's one of those little conveniences that just makes you feel better for having it around if you need it. The hook cutter is a little fiddly to disengage from the body, but it doesn't bother me. If you need a box cutter, this will make you happy. :)
