Took a risk on this and now regret it. I saw the bad reviews, but how bad could it be? Besides, can't beat the price.
Well it worked for about 2-3 hours fairly normally. Then I noticed while using the reverse camera the screen would go black for a second or two. Meh, no biggie. Then it started randomly turning itself on. WTH? Then the power/volume switch would work intermittently so you couldn't turn it off or lower the volume. Then the screen started blanking on and off every few minutes while the radio was stuck on. Complete nightmare. Glad I got the extra warranty....avoid planet audio. Complete garbage.
Update: Planet Audio won't honor any warranty unless it was "professionally installed".
Also, Square Trade extended warranty won't take care of it because the problem occurred before 60 days, so it's still under manufacturer warranty and considered damaged upon delivery. So now I'm stuck with it. Pay the extra bucks for a quality unit!
FYI: I'm a certified electronic tech. I just don't have a business license as an installation tech.

I'm basing this review on the features for the price. Finding these features at this price is pretty amazing. This would be a good choice for someone wanting to upgrade their factory radio to gain capabilities such as back up camera, USB input, aux input and Bluetooth. This would not be a good choice for an audiophile wanting a great audio experience. It's not bad, but it's definitely not great audio quality. I have air vent magnetic holders for my cellphone, which sits directly beside the head unit and I did not experience ANY Bluetooth interruption. I could clearly hear the person I was speaking to for calls, but they could hardly hear me unless I was speaking very loudly. In the short amount of time I have had it in my car, I get asked "what?" A LOT. But I will admit, I am soft spoken. If you don't make a lot of calls from your vehicle and haven't spent much money on speakers and you want Bluetooth for audio only, this could work for you. The audio controls are very limited and like I said before, audio quality isn't great. I have component speakers and an amp and this unit wasn't able to make them sing the way they should.
I work from my vehicle a lot and need quality sounding Bluetooth. This and the fact that I couldn't get my speakers to sound the way they should has prompted me to send this head unit back. I purchased a Pioneer AVH-200EX and installed it tonight because I wanted to test it against this head unit. The difference is astounding. The Pioneer weighs probably another 25-50% more than this unit. The audio controls and sound were significantly better and the Bluetooth is much better. No more "what?" from the other end. But it is more than twice the price.

This stereo worked in my car for a totally of TWO MONTHS than it started glitching my boyfriend thought he didn't ground it good (he's a mechanic) so he redid it and still not any better. I am not able to turn the volume over 25 in my car without the thing completely turning off. The third party sellers do not specify the return policy so I got stiffed on being able to return it DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT go with a better priced reviewed and trusted brand

Hate it. Unfortunately while trying to dial it in and figure out all the glitches the return time had lapsed. Touch screen is a little laggy and if you wear polarized glasses the screen is dark when you look at it. Turn your head to one side and it brightens up. Not good. Also I found you have to wait for it to boot up completely before putting it in reverse. If not the radio will often freeze and not work. One time it played the same radio station (same song) on every preset. Other times it's just frozen (and silent). When it is working, half the time you can't pull up the EQ screen when the radio is playing. You see the EQ screen for a split second but can't make any changes, it just jumps to the next setting. When streaming Bluetooth you can press the EQ button and make changes but first you have to hit the tab of the EQ setting it was on because when you hit the EQ button it jumps to the next setting. And for the sound quality. Oh God. Horrible. The trebles sound the worst. Just a bad staticky crunchy sound. I thought it was my tweeters and wound up replacing them with two different sets to no avail. I did figure out that once it starts playing that if you turn it off at the on/off button and back on then the sound is noticbly better but that's a pain to do EVERY TIME. All that being said I just ordered a JVC. I can't wait to pull this one out and take a hammer to it. (I wouldn't even give it away)

Great head unit. The interface is a bit slow. But the Bluetooth connects very fast to devices that are already registered. And the power is amazing. Im Upgrading my stock door speaker to make the most of the power this head unit brings.
