I bought this as a gift for my 6-year old niece who loves worms, and it has been a great success. She loves to spend time outside looking for worms, pillbugs, caterpillars, and any other critter she can find, and then builds them a "home" out of leaves, sticks, and other things she finds in the yard. She now has "pet worms" that she can keep inside the house and watch tunnel. She's also been fascinated my watching the grass seeds sprout and grow. Great customer service! I had some questions with the worms, and Jen at the Nature Gift Store responded with just the information that I needed, and very quickly. If you order the version that ships with live worms (instead of the coupon), be aware that the actual shipping time is 4 days, not the 6-10 days that Amazon tells you at check-out.

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter for her birthday. She loved putting it together and playing with the worms. There are a lot of worms! The only think is that the container is a little smaller than I expected. Also, since worms like darkness, they hide in the dirt which makes it hard to watch them in the container.
