My family is making an effort to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. The organic produce just doesn't keep as long unfortunately. I tested strawberries stored in these and the package I purchased based them in. By day 4 the strawberries in the GreenBox were going bad, the strawberries in the store container were fine. Grapes and lettuce, same results. Sooo disappointed in this purchase!!
STUNNING! And much better than bags.

I've used the bags for years and they're helpful. I avoided these because, hey ... I have SO MANY containers! And I have the bags ....
Delaying was a mistake! This is my second batch - I finally was tempted by a sale at a kitchen store.
Two simple observations. (1) You know how when you store a sliced bell pepper you have to trim the cut edges because they'll be slimy? Stored a cut bell pepper almost a week and was just stunned at zero slime! (2) Leftover salad of kale, carrots, etc. should be eaten within 24-48 hours, right? Just opened a leftover salad that sat 5 days through Thanksgiving holidays. Looked and tasted like I'd packed it a couple of hours ago.

We had been using pyrex containers for chopped/prepped salad vegetables, but they would go bad really quickly. We also had an interparental war about whether to refrigerate strawberries. Parts of our food budget were completely out of control thanks to rotting fruits and vegetables. I used to use the green bags, but my husband really prefers structured storage, so when I saw these, I was pretty sure they would help solve both problems.
As far as I can tell, they can keep peppers just about forever. We get an extra several days from strawberries that used to rot on the counter (and bring FRUIT FLIES!!!) within 48 hours. I haven't had to throw away any fresh fruits or vegetables since I bought them"‹. It seems like it would be a gimmick, but it is not.

Fresh food longer, but could be better quality.

I've used the original green boxes in the past and loved them, but couldn't find them on Amazon and opted for these. The containers do what they promise with keeping produce fresh for an extended amount of time, but fall short in several other areas. They're the same quality as the disposable storage containers. The lids are very difficult to remove, infact I've had everything inside come flying out when a lid I struggled to open finally came off. I'm still finding blueberries from that unintentional dump. I'm in my early 40s with no arthritis or joint issues so removing the lids will likely be even more of an issue for someone who does.
Love these storage containers

We have used Debbie's green bags (and still do) for many years. But I decided to give these a try and they are GREAT! The multiple sizes gives us the opportunity to food prep for the week while keeping our veggies and fruits handy and fresh! We are vegan and eat a lot of fresh whole plant based foods! I use them to bring my lunches to work, to store fresh food in the fridge, etc. These containers really stretch your food budget! Love them!
