Wonderful Experience, and Good Device to Have!
Raymond C. Cauchon•April 27, 2017
Incredible device, well made , packaged, and shipped.
A perfect example of a good seller.
This is a great way to see how issues are solved by the human mind.
I had NO PROBLEM assembling this model.
If you read the directions first and understand each part is a great model to build.

... but I have to say this product is very good as a representation
Quincy Martin•April 11, 2017
I normally don't provide reviews but I have to say this product is very good as a representation. Don't expect this to be a real clock as it is not. I purchased this clock for my daughter for a school project on the history of clocks and this did the job very well. We ordered this and it came with two sets of instructions... Yes one set was English. I only provided minor help to my 12yr old daughter and she was able to build it in like an hour. If you purchase this just pay attention to optional configurations and you'll be fine. Once again this is not a professional clock, its plastic, and the parts come attached to a plastic holder like you would find for model planes and cars.
Great educational piece / desk toy
T. Pilehvar•February 19, 2017
This is a great value escapement / clock model. The pieces are substantial and easy to separate from the sprue. The instructions were clear, if a bit detailed. Assembly is more fussy than difficult, as close attention must be paid to the orientation of parts. Don't mix up axles; a ruler can be handy for identifying which is which as they are identified by shape (round or hexagonal) and length in the instructions. Also, make sure that your string is facing the right direction before completing assembly.
Once assembled, you'll be expected to provide your own weights. The weight carrier looks like it's set up for about $2 worth of quarters, but washers ought to work just as well. The black teardrop weight pictured on the right is ornamental.
The ticking action is soothing and this seems like it will make a great desk toy.

Um, I ordered a product in English, right?

So the box and all the instructions are for an Asian language that we don't read. We shall be returning it.
Might be able to put it together if the pictures are good, but it's a gift and I'm not willing ...

I received my clock yesterday and it wasn't in English. Never thought it would be in another language. Might be able to put it together if the pictures are good, but it's a gift and I'm not willing to chance it. It's going back.
