I was nervous when I ordered these pistachios because I wasn't sure if they were going to be fresh and crunchy and good quality. These Turkish pistachios are simply AMAZING! They are very crispy, crunchy, they have perfect amount of salt, and are perfect size (not too small, not too large). I highly recommend them. I am glad I got the 5 pound bag, because it saves quite a bid money to get them in large quantities. I will be purchasing these again, when I ran out.

For those who do not know the difference between Turkish and California Pistachios, listen-up: Both varieties can be enjoyed, but they are not the same. The Turkish roasted pistachios are on average smaller than the green California variety, but their flavor is more concentrated and nutty, not buttery like some of the large California varieties. So, if you like large, buttery nut meats, go with California. If you like concentrated and more complex nutty flavors, the Turkish Antep are a better bet. The We Got Nuts Turkish pistachios are very good and kinda dangerous because I can't stop eating them. Very few empty shells or unopenable nuts in these bags + the ones I got were very fresh. Lightly salted.

I have been eating antep pistachios for 25 years way before it was even popular or known in the United States. I was in the Air Force in the mid80s, early 90s and most of my friends were bringing them back from Turkey. These antep pistachios were so hard to find over the years. Fortunately I can find them on the Internet, so I can pretty much say I'm a connoisseur of turkish antep pistachios. Unfortunately for me, this brand lacked freshness and lacked the real sea saltiness and creamy authentic Turkish pistachios taste. They even tasted overroasted which leaves the nut without much taste. To that end, I will not be buying another bag.

I discovered Turkish Pistachios in New York City. I have always loved pistachios and had never heard of these things. I tried them and loved them. Back home in Orlando, I have not been able to find them locally, so I turned to Amazon.

My first purchase was less than delicious. I posted a review of that product too. They were ok, but many tasted kind of burnt. So I tried these Turkish Pistachios from We Got Nuts to see if they were any tastier. And they ARE!

First, I am not finding any with that burnt taste. They all taste fresh, firm, and delicious. And in this entire bag, I only came across 7 pistachios that were completely closed. That's pretty good for a 2-pound bag of small pistachios! The bag is re-sealable which is super convenient too.

I have to be careful and not purchase these too often, as I have no self-control! But when I do want more, I will definitely buy this brand again.
