I love these blocks

I love these blocks. I purchased some from the Knit Picks site. I needed another set to block bigger pieces. I didn't realize they were the same brand initially! They interlock easily and are sturdy.

I've been knitting since I was 9 but had never conquered blocking. Until now. The top of the washer or dryer will never see another damp piece of knitting! These very handy blocks can be put together like jigsaw puzzle pieces to just about any shape you need. IF you are blocking a large shawl, though, you may have to do it in sections...or, order two sets of mats. They work beautifully with T-pins, but don't stab through them onto your table top or other surface. They are thin-ish...go in at an angle and just pin deep enough to hold your knitting in place. They are great!

Would have been better if there were 10 to 12 in a set instead of 9. If you are blocking a shawl, you need more than 9. Attaching lengthwise is fine but if you have to attach width-wise, because of the way the interlocking tabs are cut out, they only fit on certain blocks and this may not be the configuration you need for your project. I think this set is made so you have to buy 2 sets if you want to block a project and they are expensive considering the material they are made from and the number of tiles in a set.
Blocking boards are wonderful.

I have been needing these for a while now and I finally got some. They are wonderful. It's very nice how you can adjust to what ever size you need to block. These feel durable which is always a good thing. I don't block things often but I don't have to worry that these will be falling apart before I get them out the next time. The box they come in is pretty handy for storage also.

I just received my third box of this 9 piece set, and I first want to say that I absolutely love them functionally. the reason that I ordered this particular box is because the last box had the interlocking pieces going in the opposite direction & I want to be able to use them all on the same side.Just received, I was very surprised to find 8 pieces all matched in one direction and one block in the bottom of the box that go in the other direction thus the three stars. I purchased the first two sets ftom two sources, one ftom Amazon, and one directly from Knitpicks, I came back to Amazon to buy this box. I haven't check to see which box will match these directionally,. but again, very disappointed that all nine pieces in this box don't match.
