My dog is afraid to stand on it so we are still working on it. I think once we master the trust issue, it will help with strengthening his muscles.

Love the Fitbone products. There is more than just this that fitpaws makes. The fitbone does come with a pump so no need to buy anything extra. If you wanted to buy a better quality pump I would almost recommend it but again it's not needed. Depending on how much you pump up the fit bone depends on the level that you want your dog to be at. Beginners it's usually a bit flat like when you first recieve it but if you wanted to make it more challenging you would pump it up more to make it less sturdy. The material isn't easy to pop either (my 11 month old tried to bite it) and didn't even make a single mark in it. I have a 81lb german shepherd and he has yet to make a mark on it. If you have a larger breed dog I would suggest getting two of these but smaller breeds like Aussie's and such you could get away with just using one.

This adds variety to the fitness program for my dog. He's just the right size to stand length wise on it as well as using it in other ways. It's more stable than the peanut ball and offers balance training in a variety of ways.
Excellent training tool

A fantastic training tool! It is big enough for a tall, lanky 50 lb border collie to stand on properly with a flat back, but it will take practice to help them learn to put their feet at the far corners. Great for little dogs too!
