I got s kick out of watching the food network one day. They featured a coo-I mean "Chef" who had some high brow resteraunt in the Hamptons-and he was making fried chicken using tons of weird hard to find spices,using a marinade with another list of the spices you most certainly do not own and deep frying it in peanut oil.
Too many uneccesary steps and ingredients.
I am known for my fried chicken. It's the same way my Mom cooked it,and her Mom. And the must have is CRISCO ahotetm

Good! I used this partially for cold process soaping as it is much cheaper than 48 oz of coconut oil. Also it's good to have some shortening on hand around the holidays during pie season bc it's sooo superior to butter when making pie crusts!
